6 people, 5 boards, 1 telecabine...

So, today we had our telecabine gatecrashed by four huge German's and their snowboards... tight squeeze, I tell thee!

Today is Wednesday - our day off - and it had been forecast for sun all day, unfortunately it turned out to be pretty much a white-out all over the resort.  We still managed to get out for a good few hours though.

So last week we had a great time with our minimal work schedule - the four guests we had between us all turned out to be a treat to look after, no bother whatsoever - and we got a €100 tip too!  The weather last week brought us more snow (yippee!)...

More than a foot overnight on Friday, so we had a bit of tree/powder action...

Some sharp-shootin'parking...

But also some beautiful evening scenes once the snow clouds were emptied...

As we had a bit more time on our hands, we also made a concerted effort to break into the "night scene" so we visited La Rhumerie in Aime 2000 (my cool-as-ice entrance included sliding down the stairs on my backside... "play it cool Trigger, play it cool.."!!).  Brooksey looked a bit cooler, sporting his Billabong outfit...

And we found a good offer on Jaeger bombs that might interest Lauren, if she ever decided to come and visit...

La Rhumerie was pretty chilled and we enjoyed ourselves a 7 year Havana rum and coke, plus a couple of cocktails.  Fortunately I managed to stay on my feet for the rest of the evening.  That was Tuesday night (the new Friday...) and today we went to a little restaurant called Le P'tit Bouchon in Plagne Centre, where they basically serve the 'Plat du Jour' and you get no choice of what you eat.  We got there pretty early as we'd finished our skiind at about 3pm due to bad visibility and so were out for tea at about 5pm.  With regards to the menu, we were pretty lucky as we had tapenade and toast as entree, then some saucisse de joue with frites, salade and moutarde.  We also got to taste the chocolate pudding that was being prepared for the 'proper' evening guests.  We got chatting to the owner Gile, and promised to advertise the restaurant in the chalets and had a good chat with him so we reckon we'll probably get to have some pretty reasonably priced meals out in the future!

After our meal we hopped over to La Chiminee, a tiny little bar that we went to last week and really enjoyed so thought we'd visit again.  We managed to sink a pint of Affligem...

... before heading back home, where I am now enjoying a soupcon of Cabernet Sauvignon whilst watching Any Given Sunday... this is the life, huh?!
